At the end when it said "but if there should ever be a time when were crowded up together I'm sure that we'll find some elbow room on the moon" I thought for sure they'd say Canada or something!
gosh you people seriously need to stop thinking were dumb idiots and dont know the truth this vid is awesome and doesnt persuade us about stuff only helps us to remember
Most beautiful paen to imperialism ever written.<3 I hummed this little ditty my entire 70s childhood, oblivious to all the 20th century acquisition of "elbow room" that was vilified by our government. Hirohito, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Saddam Hussein -- they all needed a little elbow room! "Elbow room, elbow room, gotta get ourselves a little elbow room!"
Take it for what it was...this stuff was written in the mid 70s before politically correctness was even a thought. I learned a lot from these as a kid, even though as an African-American I wonder why there was never a School House rock that talked about slavery! I'm just saying...
There's nothing wrong with hating the government if something is wrong with it. Our history is messed up, just in case you didn't know. There are some things to be proud of, but much more not to be proud. Don't be a sheep, think for yourself.
I'd thank you to not call me a sheep or an idiot. I plan to pursue my Masters Degree in American History.
I'm not going to have an internet battle with you, it's a youtube video. The whole thing is sophmoric and childish. We can have different opinions. You'd think your children would be deprived of the truth, but I don't want my kids playing "kill the indian with small pox" instead of Tag in the playground at recess on Columbus Day.
You can hate the government all you want, and most of our history IS pretty insane, but I don't think that children need to know the full extent of the massacres that went on. They already know about the horrendous things that are going on over in Iraq and Afghanistan. If and when I become a teacher, especially if I teach children, I don't want to teach hell-fire and brimstone, because that's all I ever heard about during my high school life.

Just in general, people don't think, and it's infuriating, wouldn't you agree?
