"Secret Quest I" is the first episode in a 3-part series on Christian Gnosticism, presented by The Gnostic Movement, that delves into the mysteries of Gnosis -- the knowledge that leads to enlightenment.
Discover the secret quest of the Christian Gnostics, who have emerged in different forms throughout history, walking the hidden path towards spiritual transformation.
Part 1 examines the question, "What is a Gnostic?". Starting with the early years of Christianity, this video explores the Gnostic origins of Jesus and his disciples and the secret aspects of his teachings. Discover how the theology of Paul of Tarsus diverged from the Gnostic teachings of Jesus and came to compete with the Church of Jerusalem, which was led by Jesus' disciples.
With the fall of the Church of Jerusalem, Pauline Christianity became dominant. Those who knew and practiced the secret heart of Jesus' teachings went underground — hidden from view but continuing their quest for spiritual enlightenment. The first episode of Secret Quest has been split into three parts to go on YouTube, but the remaining episodes can be seen on DVD. James was the head of the Jerusalem church not Peter - what Paul did was to free Christianity from it'd judaic element and bring it closer to neo platonism. Without Paul Chritianity would have remained a Jewish sect . What I'm saying is don't dismiss him so radically - He was the vehicle for the gnosis to survive the fall of Jerusalem in 70 ac and reach the western world, meaning all you guys. Feed from all but remain in the ONE. A fellow gnostic.
Why don't the ones that do not believe in what is being said here go on with your own thoughts and leave well enough alone..It's people as yourself that create havoc and you call yourself a person who understands Jesus..shame on you! Gnostic teachings are for ones well more advanced in the reality of Christianity.
Yeshua did not teach anything that aligned with original sin. "Lucifer" is light bringer. I.E. the intelligence, the intellect, the light that shines out from the darkness that, were it not for the dark, we would not be aware of the path to enlightenment. Paul of Tarsus was an agent of Rome. Rather than persecute the early followers of the anointment of Christos, because killing the speakers of the word make the word more valuable, he instead corrupted it with the blessing of Pagan Rome.
My friend you is so right, I being trying to tell people about this but they think I have demons or somthing, that is one of the reasons I left my church!
I've always seen the "Original Sin" as a metaphor for us choosing to leave behind an ignorant-happy state and choose to embrace the pain and sadness involved in the struggle to attain truth.
I don't believe anyone follows the true teachings of Jesus simply because of the chasm of time. But Paul is named the founder of Christianity, the only person in the bible everyone believes exists, and he was anti-gnostic.
