Fascinating wooden puzzle

The dimensions are now on my website: http://tomlancaster.weebly.... A puzzle you can make that's defies all logic. The overall size is always the same but a gap appears when when re-assembled.

its so clear that there was space between the peices.. except for when you change their locations. they are put tighter and the space is gathered into one place.. which is the square in the middle...

nice trick though :)
