are we'all not ashamed? I cant bliv an Igbo man is tryin 2 blame another tribe for dis menace..if A SIMPLE RESPONSIBILITY OF SANITIZING THE ENVIRONMENT CANT BE EXHIBITED BY A BILLION CONSUMING GOVERNOR,wHY SHOULD SOMEONE ELSE BE BLAMED FOR THAT?I am yoruba dat spent most of my yrs in igbo land & i know how corrupt dis thieves (called governors) are.
Lets face it,is wat ur seein d fault of anyone except ur immediate gov?or u want goodluck to come spoon-feed ur useless gov for this job.shameful

This Kanu of a man must never and even his generations take over governorship in their lives again. No one wud say that the money was not given even a part but this man dept it in his pocket to maintain his falimy. How then can we trust ppl. Look at aba. I grew up and met this town like this and it is still like this. What a shame! This man will not see favour from God. No sockaways. Dirty pp.

good suggestion but citizens of aba also do the compulsory clean up. Population density of aba is far above that of calabar and owerri and the consumerism in aba is also much bigger. I agree an NGO to clean up aba would be a good idea and I would do this myself if everything goes well and I don't get asked to bribe by the Nigerian police. You would have to be mathin luther king jnr to be able to gather enough people to dispose aba's refuse, because it is huge.
-
dude where do expect this people to dispose of their refuse? They have to throw them somewhere. A city that turns over millions of dollars daily for the economy deserves, at the very least a suitable refuse management strategy. Failure of the government (federal or state) to provide adequate refuse disposal facilities should be blamed for this.Wether it is state or fedral government, we all know Nigeria. Nothing good comes from the contraception called Nigeria.

What the hell is this? Even a rat won't want to live there. Now let me ask, how can a human being not able to clean his environment. This is basic principle. Any adult with brain should know to keep his or her immediate environ clean.

@donbyro1
so the garbage on the streets and roads are dumped by the federal govt?

Aba people are the most hardworking people I've ever seen. I love aba and I would rather die there than deny it. Federal roads are supposed to be fixed by the federal government. Even a baby would agree with that.The Nigerian government and all of its supporters are all demented. Fixing federal roads Aba is a place where, if half of its potentials is harnessed, there would be no place more beautiful and promising.
Aba, as it is today is in Nigerian nation. Not Igbo nation because we are not yet governing ourselves. we are being ruled by agents appointed by nigeria to perptuated poverty in our land and taking our wealth to the north and west to deposit. Shame on Nigeria, the worst nation under the sun.
Okoro, is that the Yorubas fault as well? Tribalism is truly a disease.
