Maybe not as much as it was but in the 50's 60's and earlier we were just as racist as any other white western nation. People still are racist here it is not a problem, unfortunatly that will ever be stopped.

Come on if your an American you owe the whole history of Slavery & Jim Crowe to the British.

Remember the first Americans were British. Washington, Jefferson though born in the US were all but British.

Also remember they had the chance to make all men equal but took the very British line and fudged the issue. Meaning 200 years of inequality.

For a contemporary take on the issue in Britain as late as the 1960s you could see signs stating, "No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs"
