Bank Charges: Reclaim them with Martin Lewis

I went over my overdraft limit yesterday, I think, The cash machines rarely show me an accurate figure of what I have in my bank. So i end up buying something, thinking i have money.

I have no money what so ever, not even enough to buy food, my dad was good enough to put £50 into my account this morning at 11am, by 12am when i checked it, the bank had already taken it out as a charge.

Now im back to having no money, i dont know what to do...

No your wrong! people are allowed to get overdrawn then the bank charges them thats just plain wrong and immoral then they slap a stupid amount of money when they know the customer doesnt have it then carge interest its disgusting !!. what should happen if you havent got it then you cant have it simple but the banks like to make money this way as its good profit for the bankers!. Maybe we should charge banks for all the money weve gave them taxpayers money there a bunch of hypocrites. loansharks

Call the bank and ask to cancel overdraft protection...I just did myself!

Call Senator Chris Dodd and show your support for his bill that will stop this shit from happening. He will limit the amount of Overdraft fees to 1 per month, 6 per year. Overdraft fees must be proportionate to the cost of processing an overdraft charge. His number is 202-224-2823. Call and show your support. Google Chris Dodd's overdraft legislation for more information. Pass this message on...post it wherever you can.

Well i will tell you the US will do something about this. The trouble with the UK we're just too god damn soft. Lazy so called legal eagles who should have been put out to graze years ago.And those who appear to be doing something for the good of the people we find out were reluctant and never stuck their necks out for nothing. So in the end we were stuffed.
