Completely making oil a non-issue like she describes happened to salt would remove the control that OPEC has. I'm all for new energy that works. Notice how all the Dems are invested Green? Now they are talking about raising the Federal gas tax so that prices will be made $4 at the gas pump. Obama thinks this is a good idea. I guess no one was listening when he said that we no longer can drive SUVs, eat as much, or keep our A/C at 72 degrees.
You conservative droids are so blind and unthinking that you miss the whole point that the oil companies are making more money based on fear and scarcity of oil ... look at the last year or two. Look, its not the oil companies, its OPEC. If the oil companies were allowed to drill in the US this wouldn't be a problem. They are now saying that we have 10 times the amount of oil out West (South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming). The environmentalists would rather we be beholden to OPEC than to drill ourselves. If the oil companies controlled everything why are gas prices so low??? Its called supply and demand. Economics should be a required couse in all high schools.
