Great band. I so love all those who kick out all musical & racial stereotypes and play the music they love.

Wow! Great Job Steve. The music was great and so was the video. Only problem is i will be thinking about this song the rest of the day and won't be able to get it out of my head. That is okay because I do enjoy this type of music.

Steve Kimbrell just won an regional Emmy for this piece. He produced, wrote and directed "Carolina Chocolate Drops". He is at the award show now and just called. He has been nominated before and won Addy awards before but this is nice. He is a very diverse and talented man.

Good Job Steve!

to say black history is about as segregated as it gets, shouldnt all african american history just be part of american history?

If "american history" actually INCLUDED black history in the schools and took into consideration more of the actual concerns and things that black people have accomplished or had to deal with, you might be right. As it stands however "American History" is dominated by white men.

It's why we need Womens studies and African American studies. White guys aren't the only type of people that have done things, just the only ones we get taught about.

Now ... THIS ... is American. Not a nation of hyphenated Americans, but a fantastic demonstration of all coming together as one. Not divisive diversity.. But UNITY. United in our common history through music.

Her comments brought a tear to my eye.

Fantastic work. Outstanding. Just when I have given up on my country I can always find one more reason to fight for it.

I am not a music ologist but the bango ,yea I see what you mean but the Appalachin sound is Scot Irish type as far as the music goes ,they do not deserve to have that taken away either
