I honestly thought this was Shirley but because of Eilinu and blingmeblingme101 sort of persuaded me to go wikipedia on this and they are right it is Gayla Peevey's song. Soon as I put her name on there the album with an artsy cover of hippo, christmas tree and a blonde 1940s preteen girl came up. Love this song and her voice lol it's cute.
Please .... credit where credit is due. This is Gayla Peevey not Shirl'. It was released as a promo song for a new zoo, somewhere in the US. The flip side is "Are My Ears On Straight", a song about a doll going in for repairs.
