The art style reminds me of the end credits from A Series of Unfortunate Events, especially that big black mouth-hand thing.

Where our style differs is that we use inspiration from traditional Chinese calligraphy, ink paintings for the environment (the swirls, details and overall look and feel). For our enemies inspiration was drawn from Chinese shadow puppetry and paper cards (the 2D look). The colour palette was selected to make a visually striking game, something fun and interesting to look at.

For game play, all the environment and terrain is rigid and it is just our Bear that is soft and bouncy. I would say the game play is more comparable to Kirby, but we grew up on Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog(back in the 8-bit days).
