Can anyone tell us precisely what Brother Walter is saying precisely in "It's gonna rain"? We know he's telling the story of Noah, railing "about the end of the world", but it's very hard for non-English language users to follow his words. Please.
As an native English speaker - I do not understand it - it is almost song-like in its cadences and emphases - I suspect you have to understand Black American English and specifically the style of the street preacher to understand it first time round.
"He began to warn the people. He said, 'After while, it's gonna rain after while. For 40 days and for 40 nights.' And the people didn't believe him, and they began to laugh at him, and they began to mock him, and they began to say, 'It ain't gonna rain.'"
