I worked this station from all over the world between 1970 and 1986. A massive operation. The final shots of the demolition are very sad. Nicely done.
Great video clip. Had many happy memories of GK...portisheadradio, whilst in P and O, GBDK, GRFP GVSN etc...20 years communicating with portishead, and a great shame to see it go. Regards Gordon McKie
The Portishead Radio Station was well known all over the world - sad days for many Posset people when it closed and great to see photos although I was just a young girl at the time. Can anyone remember Brian Goddard who spent a lot of time up at the site and was a real radio ham. His wife would be interested if anyone remembers him. He was a dear friend of my late uncle, Brian Stonestreet.
