Here in my county, I pushed for the candidates that they have a limit what they cn spend too promote their candidacy and any leftover campaign fund be donated to a charity at the end of the election. The incumbents killed my proposal. I know exactly what you mean. Plus the fact that we here in America are dumb when it comes to who we are voting for .... Blinded by the light of the media

Now Its easy to understand how germans could fall for one ideology, half of our country is doing the same.

The US political system is morally bankrupt now.You have to be either extremely rich or have the backing of dubious influential power brokers to run for office. In the UK you cannot spend more than £75,000 on your electoral campaign by law. Its ironic but its easier for a middle clas man and woman to run for the highest office in my country,which is still striven by class, than the US, which is supposed to be "egalitarian". It clearly isnt .
