I felt it was about how breen acts nice, smiles, and 'thinks' what he's doing is 'for the greater good', but in the end he's just in it for his own gain; it's saying that gman is the same way, that he's just 'helping' gordon (even tho it was his fault for both gman and breens victems situation) before ultimately using him for some ultierior motive, only he's WAY more of a threat since by the time u realize that u have to get away, he has u in his grasp.

you're right, this cliche is used by valve quite a lot, the half life series is a prime example as is portal

such a old game i miss it :( it had a great story line and action it was perfect but is just so old
