oh yes, beş vakit. but the village is not by the sea as far as i remember :) btw most of the films i noted have villages as locations. maybe the reason is a social problem of Turkey, the unbalanced and uncontrolled huge immigration from towns/villages to metropolitan cities, mostly İstanbul. actually this is how Uzak starts.
definitely. and all of them are shot within last 10-15 years. so we cant talk about an institutionalized cinema in turkey, because they have found their own way to achieve the process of make sth "artistic".

but that reminded me of another film called "sonbahar" (autumn). had prizes. full of nature and tranquility, supposed to be political.
