A LOT of people had abusive, violent parents. Sorry, NO excuse for taking it out on innocent people. A lot of mentally damaged children recover and become functional, even happy adults. It's too bad he got his thrills killing innocent folks.

Lucas is a prime candidate for the hangman's noose IMO...

No, because the bastard "cooperated" with authorities and led them to various crime scenes and bodies they commuted his death sentence. He did die of a heart attack in prison just a few years later. He's probably in hell right now...
