I literally raise my hand to my head and salute these men every time I watch a video like this. I'm 25 and would have been the "old man" on a flight like this. These men were kids essentially and I respect them more than anyone in the world. Wish I could have met my grandpa, D day to Berlin for that good man. This stories he could have told.

Got the visuals with the games.. But the fear factor you could never understand.

Knowing what was supposedly at stake if you were to fail.

Most of the WW2 vets are passed away, unfortunate for the younger generation that did not have the opportunity to speak to our grandfathers like we did as kids.

Enjoy your games... Your great grandfathers gave their life so you could be free to do so. :-)

I couldn`t have said it better, friend. Over four years in the wild blue yonder tells me no game can ever come close. You sound like a vet so thank you for your service.

Nitpicking would be tail numbers, squadron colors or aircraft models--to those that don't know any level of standards or aren't affected by those errors. These kinds of major errors kill people that do serious work. I wouldn't want to fly on a plane, drive across a bridge or be in a building built with that kind of margin of error.

I sure hope you don't do work could impact the safety of others with an attitude like that.

Sorry for simply "attacking" you in my last comment. That was wrong of me, and I apologise.

The imagination is a powerful tool, and virtual environments can be a great place to enact these scenarios.

It's just the way you made it sound in your previous comment. You came across as one of those typical gamers.

"this mst be waht wurld war 2 wuz lyk omg" kind of takes away from the sacrifice I feel those soldiers made. Somehow makes it well... I'm not sure how to explain it really...

I know there is a limit to what can be understood, but the imagination and visuals of flying and pretending can be interesting and sad.

That.... I'm a gamer but I just found your comment absolutely disgusting.

No game, ever.... EVER will come even close to what it was like, ESPECIALLY war thunder.

If there was any truth in your statement, if you really wanted to know what it was like, join the airforce. Honour them that way.
