Nothing steam wise will beat the Mallards record of 125.88 MPH. There has been unofficial claims. The limit is 90, not 60. IN canada, the limit is 60 for freight.

92mph and she is limited to 75. all steam in britain is limited to 75 but most engines cant go past 60

no tornado is still limited to 75... she has never done 90 or over... go look it up they were trying to get her certified to run at 90 but there hasen't been any news on that since they said that... i've got a feeling the 75 mph limit has nothing to do with the age of an engine just that network rail doesn't trust the technology or because at higher speeds steam loco's tend to get a little bumpy

...Idk much about what trains are preseved but i would of thought BR & SR..
But thats just from what i've seen.
