Jimmy Reed - High and Lonesome

This was the first song off the first album I ever listened to. Couldn't get enough.This represents my personal music core. I think this is as true as it gets. Can't pick up a guitar to this day without playing shuffles lol. The album had Jimmy talking between songs about what caused him to write them. Funny shit! You think his singing voice is cool you should hear hs normal speaking voice. I remember it was released by Vee Jay.

its almost eerie,because this type of southern music is like the ROOT of music...makes u think of fried catfish,juke joints,moonshine and the ku klux klan LOL.

This low, down and dirty taken to the limit. The Stones were close once, on Exile On Mainstreet on a coupla tracks.
