danger man was a *hit single*? what a joke. Uncorroborated Markstein rubbish nearer the end.

The final episode of the prisoner garnered 25 million viewers so the show was no flop.

Everyman went bust in 1974, 7 years after Mcgoohan left Britain . That has no connection with the performance of the prisoner show. Everyman funded kenneth Griffiths anti-Establishment documentaries in the years after. The Prisoner was long gone, long before.
