cool shit...do you have instructions/blueprints posted anywhere?with all the spare comp stuff i have around it would be nice to transform it into something rather than collect dust.somethin like that or a hdd clock would really look awesome on the front panel of a case

No, This is a commercial project, it took 1 year of full time development to design this clock.

yeah yeah. Its a fake.  I took the time to make all these animations in a software to make a fake video. And I Also build a fake prototype just to impress peoples.

i just don't get one thing.
why you just don't take a lil screen an put the graphics on, why do you have to make al those RGB sticks spinning around?

Two reasons:
The price and the visual effect.
Do the math, 240 positions X 32 leds X 30 cent each= 2304$
and 32 X 30 cent = 9.60$
