Are you suggesting that government regulations do a better of job of protecting the enviroment and the economy? If so, I think you've been living under a rock.
If they are government regulations that come from public pressure and popular opinion from the population, then yeah, that will protect the environment and the economy.
If it's government regulation that comes only from government officials and bureaucrats and not from the population itself, then no it probably won't.
Well, how nice of you! Instead of refuting my argument, you insult me. Explain to me how regulations help the enviroment? Nay, show me a model country that is doing so well economically but also enviromentally? I will bring up the US, despite that it didn't sign the Kyoto treaty. It still reduced its emissions though, but not to regulation. But because the market was freerer.
