This was SO head and shoulders above anything that came out in 1981. Faye Dunaway was ROBBED by not winning best actress. I can only surmise that it was just too painful for Hollywood to see their beloved and recently-passed Crawford played with such stunning & chilling sociopathic accuracy ~whether or not it was true, DAMN could Dunnaway play the icy selfishness of a female psychopath so dead on. This movie will live on for many, many more decades because of what she brought to it.
