    there is just something about the Irish. they have some of the greatest novelists, poets, songwriters, and musicians in world for how small of the population they represent in the world.

    This song is so powerful. To me it is sorrow, loss, mourning in its most powerful form. As soon as I hear Luke Kelly's first words of this song, I have tears almost instantly. Truly awe inspiring
