since 2 days i have the Canon SX 10 IS and i am very happy with that! Also the movie quality suprised me in a positiv way. with the processor the camera works beautiful!

Sweet, Dig!c 4 is fantastic. Canon, I love my G10 but why no HD video & what happened to Time Lapse movie mode?

forget the G serie, just get the SX1 IS, youll have the HD and a far better zoom

im not a pro, just a need a very good camera with big zoom build in and HD video, SLR dont do video (usually), ARE WAY TOO BIG and cost WAY TOO MUCH
you can't compare both sorry !
for me SX1 IS is a winner, for you SLR, no comment

I wonder how many features od SX1 IS are just locked in SX10 IS. Producers sometimes do this to manufacture many different models on one production line.
