As heard on the Opie and Anthony show... A product that didn't quite make it!

The VHS camcorder sent Polavision into obsolescence. Now camcorders have gone digital, VHS is nearly gone.

One of the little boys looks like David Mendenhall (ex-MIke Webber, GH) and the boy in the Sylvester Stallone movie Over the Top.

Can anyone confirm?

policefan, THANKs for inducing me to revive our old Polavision films. Our 1978 player no longer worked; years idle in damp storage. So we bought on eBay, for $200 complete, new old stock Polavision kit, with camera, lights, and we have two dozen old, degraded films to transfer now, and some never-used film cassettes to try and see if they can still work, twenty five years past their "use before" expiration date. It may be amazing if new old films work.
Thanks again for the historic commercial

Neat. How quickly time flys. I started on
B&W 3/4 " tape and am still boggled how
we went so many generations of contraptions
so quickly.Still, as funky as the Polavision seems, the basics still count-crap in , crap out. So, it's still possible someone somewhere
created good stuff.

That's awesome! I want one, heh, even today! Even though we've had home video tape recorders for 32 years, and digital cameras for at least 5 years or more, this would still be awesome.

Well, unskilled as we were, we tried.
The linked video shows the young-me first drive of his self-restored Model T running chassis, no body back on it then. The music makes the crap film into a sort of "art" of tearful value, I hope, as I am soon going back out that door which I came in, when...
