great advert very funny....most of the those who condem it forget the 1000 russian young women pows killed on this raid....not often mentioned....and of course most killed in the war were women and children/civilians of course none of these swan around with those crappy medals on there chests.....have some respect moaners and remember all those that suffered....thanks for posting

Sorry Mike, This advert is shit! Everytime I see it - I VOW never to drink Carling Black Label, I nurse the second world War generation - Battle of Britain Pilots, Bomber Command, Marines, all the guys who sacrificed and struggled do win our freedom. This advert is not right. And yes I DO know what 617 Squadron is about, and I do not agree with this portrayal. Descent men died on this mission. We should not forget this or their example.

This is a CRAP advert portraying a PISS beer. I HATE carling for doing this, absolute sneer agains the 53 men who did not return. Only little boys who do not appreciate history drink carling black label. Drink it if you are a Chav.

Why say that? Carling contacted the RAF Benevolent Fund and the commanding officer of 617squadron to get permission to do this ad, they all said yes. Obviously you knew that anyway. You do know what 617 squadron is yeah??
