It's stolen. They're lyrics, from the movie "Raise Your Voice", with Hilary Duff. Her finale song has exactly these words.

Gee, didn't expect that orthodox response. There's a refutation for you at The Register, called "The dumb, dumb world of Malcolm Gladwell."

This man took 18 minutes to say people have different taste buds.

No, he took 18 minutes to talk about a fundamental shift in the way we think about taste and the way companies go about designing products. His books and talk are all about looking at the same old problems in new ways, challenging conventional wisdom, and probing into what we think we know to find out we may not know nearly as much as first assumed.

His books are great. I have read Blink, Outliers, and Tipping Point. Outliers is the best by far followed by Blink and then Tipping Point.

@L571J Read "What the dog saw." (The tomato sauce story is in there too.)

This guy is so stoned. But I like what he's saying, and it lends more creedance to his books-- because he really is as passionate about this information as you would find in his books, so it's cool to see him live and all nerded-out.
