From all accounts, Tarja is more arrogant than Brightman could dream of being, which is one of the reasons they kicked her out of the band. And thank you, AndraBobo. As much as I hated Repo! and thought that most of the music was trash, Blind Mag was fantastic.

But it's the same in the studio version. And although Tarja sang in a metal band she is NOT a metal singer.

I guess I'm just going to have to politely disagree about whether or not there is a right note in this instance.

ANd I agree that Tarja sounds good singing this. Like I said, it's just that one part that bugs me.

I saw Phantom live back when Sarah was in the production and she most certainly did hit it.

I think Sarah sings so slack :-/ She has no power in her voice, it don't touch me.
Her voice sounds so muffled, not clear and strong.

do you actually know that sarah brightman NEVER was able to reach the really high note in this song live? in the studio recording she did,yes. but she is not able to do it live and singing the whole song at once. sarah is not a BAD singer herself. i just think she's got a lack of power. she is a musical singer but i think when she goes "too high" she sounds screamy. but tarja ihas a powerful voice and even if she is not capable to reach the high note at the end she sings this great. :P

A little tip to you sweeties who fiddle with some notes in this LIVE video: metal music needs balls (also when the vocalist is female)!!! Feeling is more important than perfection. Nightwish is a powerful experience to their fans.
