I Have to say those of you who are saying Douglas isnt good , You are wrong , I've seen Him and he is amazing , when your sitting there live in the theater watching Him singing I Am What I Am he would have you in tears because the passion that he sings the song with is amazing he is just an amazing albin and he would be one of the funnest too . Because i couldnt breath he was that funny In the title song ( la cage aux folles ) and indeed all the show .
While Hodge is good, Hodge doesn't sing how Jerry Herman wrote the songs. He's good but he's supposed to sound manly and powerful on the verge of breeakdown. I would rather see Barrowman do this. BUT I WOULD DIE 9OF HAPPINESS) IF I SAW GARY BEACH DO IT, INSTEAD OF HODGE ON B-WAY THIS YEAR INSTEAD. THAT WOULD BE A TRUE GEM. **(gary beach just was in an okay production, but was magnificent.)--incredible.

I went to see this with Barrowman as doing "i am what i am". Blown away isnt the word, the applause was loud enugh that dust was coming from the roof.
No point, just a wonder at the praise Hodge recieves...
