A team of elite skydivers jump simultaneously from two aeroplanes and form the letters H, O, N, D and A in sequence, within a three minute time limit to advertise the new Honda Accord. This was all done live on television and was the first live advert in the UK.
This was done to promote the "Difficult is worth doing" philosophy.

Apparently after this advert Honda sales went up by 70% or something, but I know that's the point of an advert but seriously, even though they did a good advert why would you suddenly want to go buy a Honda? As I've said I know that's the point of the advert but at the end of the day you either want a Honda or you don't, regardless of how good the advert is, it really amazes me how advertising works, perhaps I'm just one of these people that isn't easily sold?
Lol im doing a whollllllle 7 page essay on analysing this advert. I sort of agree with you, advertising has always amazed me at how it works...but writing this essay is showing me why it works. its alll about the theme of dreams in this ad.
Even so if you're not dreaming about owning a Honda then theorectically this advert should not have any affect on you, but for some reason it does, it has absolutely nothing to do with any particular Honda car it;s the brand yet suddenly everyone wants a Honda :S like I said before perhaps I'm just not easily persuaded by advertising lol
