Try not to be quite so ignorant karlscooter1! zeleftikam & dexflorida did not hold the highest office in the world so it wasn't their responsibility to intervene in the Rwandan genocide.

The fact of the matter is, that with US support the genocide could have been stopped. This wasn't done because it would have affected Bill's & democrat popularity. That is a fact!

Making amends is the right thing to do but maybe Rwanda wouldn't need healthcare reforms if he had have intervened previously!

Clinton helped the economy bloom. Bush ruined the economy. Ask any conservative who ruined the economy. They'll say Obama and Clinton. He should have been elected in a government that doesn't suppress his ideas, such as this dirt hole.

Everyone is always talking about 'saving Africa' while completely ignoring the fact that nobody saved us. We saved ourself and climbed out of the dark ages trough war, plague and struggle. The only thing that will save Africa is when the countries and systems (im not talking about the people) EVOLVE to where we are now. How can you impose a foreign system and expect them to succeed when their governance fails to impose and maintain their OWN systems for public service?

The difference was that in the middle ages, the rest of the world wasn't keeping Europe down, whereas this is exactly what's happening to Africa.

Absurd to suggest that as an American citizen, that you are in some way more "Evolved" than an African...

Your country is brand new by African standards and the United States that you know now was created by European settlers - there wasn't any sort of "climbing out of the dark ages" because American didn't exist in the dark ages!

The reason why everyone is on about "saving Africa" as you say, is because we are the very nations that have repressed those countries for our own gain!

I`ve got an enormous amount of respect towards the work of Clinton both when he was in office, and now after it as well. IMHO this is a great example of how and what power and influence should be used for...
