Incredible footage of a Chilean dog saving another dog on a dangerous and busy highway in Santiago, Chile, South America.

Translation: "These images seen from the surveillance cameras show a very common situation with our overpopulated highways. It is normal for us to see dogs run over. In the video, we can see this dog fighting for his life because he was run over by the vehicle.

"What is very touching is to see the very heroic actions of this other dog who is trying to pull him to the side of the highway. We are going to keep seeing things like this until we find a solution to the dogs living on the streets."

A local from Chile said this:

"I read about this video on the paper yesterday and it said the dog that was ran over by the car didn't make it through. It also said that a lot of people called the highway emergency number wanting to adopt the hero dog, but it was left on a street near Costanera an never found again."

It's sad really. Humans are supposed to be the 'humane' and 'civilized' species, yet we dont put our own lives on the line to save another person's life. We dont even care to help each other. This dog is more courageous and civilized than any human and that's pathetic. We have become nothing but hateful and selfish.

Dogs are so brave and helpful and they even save humans! But humans dont even stop their cars to help because theyre too busywith their own lives. Guess humans are too scared to pull over to save someones life.

Very tragic. The "rescued" dog was dead by the time rescue personnel reached them.

Its evident that idiots slagging off the drivers that didn't stop&the driver that hit the dog dont hav a driving licence. If they do they obviously arent safe. If u were driving on the motorway at 70mph &a dog ran into your path its pot luck of missing it so u cant blame them. If any1 were to stop there wasnt even a safe place to stop so wud probably hav been a massive pile up with a decent chance of people getting killed. Al u can do is get ur pasenger to phone the police&tel them the location!

Everyone! The dog that got hit didn't die! Neither did! A few officers took the dog to the hospital and it lived!
