You obviously weren't around when the Beatles first hit. Not only were they brilliant, but they were incredibly influential. it's more than the music, it's what they started. They aren't overrated in any way.

why are you putting them up against each other?
They are both GREAT bands, and the time frame is way off.. Beatles had so much time.. and some of those are singles from single careers.
