Thanks - I ment to go up again last few bars -- Hence dropping the bow down in Bad Temper -lol... But its just the 2nd part - played Down an Octave --

Awesome version of this tune! I play fiddle as well, and in response to the bow holding comment, fiddle players hold it further away from the frog than classical players. Looks normal to me!

oh, well, when ur playing a jig, or a faster piece, its just easier to hold it higher up, your bow strokes can be alot faster and shorter without being clumbsy.

Hi Jim,

You play it just PERFECT - The best version I ever heard.
No wonder that it's your FIRST REEL you EVER LEARNT (I assume you had many years to practice and improve since then...)

I like your style of ornamentations - those two "wee dotted stop" type Notes, slides, double stops and also the last "down a string" version.

Thanks for posting those great videos -- it's really helpful for us the non Irish fiddlers who love to play like you, the native Irish fiddlers.
