The whole album was produced to parody Self Help books and methods, and to be a bit of a laugh. I think it did it quite well too.

The song peaked at no. 17 in the UK charts on 5th November 1983. Good song, pity Lynn Goldsmith never released the title track 'Dancing For Mental Health' as a single as that is equally as good.
