Let me explain:

Just as you may ask your pastor to pray for you, we ask the saints to pray for us. Saints are people that have been so pious and holy that there is no doubt that they are in heaven. So give them honor, or venerate, them. Since they are with God in heaven, we ask them to pray for us on occasion. That is it. No worship.

WE Catholics only worship God the Holy Trinity. We pray to Mary and Saints to intercede for us- kinda like when you ask someone to pray for you - I hope that helps clear things up. The "Hail Mary " Prayer is basically the same words the Angel Gabriel said to Mary and is thus prayed, "Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with you, blessed art thoug among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb=Jesus, Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen."

We don't worship Mary or the Saints--we ask them to pray for us, just as we would ask a friend still on earth to pray for us.

There was also an apparition in 2000 in Asyout, Egypt and I was there :) If you want to see more miracles of Jesus come to Egypt and I will never regret it. There are MANY miracles in Upper Egypt that are still available to witness. One of the miracles I want to share with you is the The Moving of
El Mokattam Mountain, Cairo in 965 AD. The Coptic Orthodox Church is FULL of miracles made by THE Lord: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit; the one God Amen
