FIVE STAR BLUES!

When I was in college, Pat Ramsey lived across the street from me.

It was an honor to know Pat, who had played with Johnny Winter. Pat was also a friend of (and maybe jammed with or backed up) Butch Trucks and Richard Betts.

Pat was cool then, and he is just as cool now.

From time to time I run into Pat, and we take a moment to share good memories.

I talked to Pat seven or eight years ago at a gig in South Florida. He told me the shell is an American, and the element is dynamic, but he doesn't know what kind. A friend cobbled the mic together for him. He calls it the harp mic from heaven. :-)
