Cool! just heard about this site on euronews - there are lottsa obstacles, but if they overcome them & everyone uploads as eagerly as France has it then this is gonna be a massive resource!

And this piece of shit costs the european taxpayers about 120 million euros. I understand that the page costs about let's be generous and say 100,000 euros, so where has the rest gone? Maybe into the pockets of some europeans politicians?
Now we have another useless portal, which by no means I'm ever gonna call a knowledge base.
For me Wikipedia is a knowledge base but Europeana is just another of of europeans politicians to steal money from the people of Europe.
