The trees 'were saved' 'just needed to be replanted'?
Trees that big, and sensible as apricot trees, don't just get replanted. Those trees will dry.
Not to mention, plant them where, if that was their land? On the rocks?
Also, I believe people get hefty amounts of money in the US when highways are being built, or land somewhere else, or something beneficial to them in exchange, not laughing in their face.
Shame.

Were these trees replanted somewhere else, and were the people compensated in anyway. I understand that its still no right of the Israeli state to do such a thing, but i would like to know, does anyone know what happens in these situations?

This really has to end. I don't know and I don't care who has what historic connection to where.. the people living on the land here and now... that's what matters. We can talk about dusty books and old legends later, all that should matter is people. And remember, heartless people exist in every group, if there is any division to be made of individuals, it's us from those who do not care for others.

What is most chilling are the Israeli soldiers laughing and smiling as the Palestinians see the end of their livelihood. This is truly the face of evil.
