I'm surprised that contribubuter "fiftiesflashback 1953" ( see below somewhere) is the only one to refer to the "double entendre" I bought this and many more jazz records in Manchester,UK when they began to be re issued after the war. As a boy it never occurred to me that this song could mean anything other than a horse and cart/trap ride in the country. I think Bessie had something else in mind
