why everyone always talk of Boxer and Alligator and never mention sad songs for dirty lovers their 2nd best album..the debut and the eps got some great stuff too ..

True that. Boxer obviously got them more recognised, which, being a HUGE fan already, I personally couldn't have been happier about. A band this good deserve as big an audience as possible.

oh don't get me wrong, i love the national and discovered them 4 years ago in ohio. absolutely amazing band, i got hooked when they played "secret meeting". but this song also reminded me very strongly of interpol - the good things about interpol. of course they aren't interpol, but the sound is similar. its like comparing glenn danzig to jim morrison, they sound very similar but their music is entirely different, as are their levels of talent.
