I wonder how you train a raven to talk? Or do they just pick it up in time, or is it to do with how early you get them, the closer to hatcing the better I suppose.

They're very smart birds, and their ability to speak was born from pure mimicry through adaption. Much similar to a parrot, but apparently much more advanced mechanically. Now we just need to breed them to be more intelligent than parrots. :D

They are more intelligent then Parrots, or at least on par with the African Grey. Studies with the New Caldovian Crow even show complex tool use.

I have a Hybrid African Raven, he hasn't said anything yet, but he is just over a year old now. His intelligence, and stubborness amazes me when he manages to get in or out of things he shouldn't.

There is definitely an intelligent process going on in them. Look at Ravens in Japans with walnuts.

then every hunter would want one, if birds were smart they would spot animals for hunters

That has little to do with intelligence and more to do with visual acuity. Which are two completely different things. Deer have a pretty good range of vision. Not particularly intelligent animals.

I was not calling the uploader a liar, it was my ignorance that lead to my initial comment. How many people in the world are aware that a raven can speak, let alone with such clarity? You stated earlier that you did not wish to belittle my ignorance, and yet, you still have not responded to my request for education. In your opinion, I may be an idiot, but you lack tolerance and consideration.

Dear Raven Fans

Please quit your bickering. This raven is actually talking. No dubbing has taken place. Be sure to watch for more videos soon.

It's a pet raven; many pet crows, ravens, jays, and magpies can be allowed to fly free because they have imprinted on humans.
