Janis Joplin singing Maybe. Now children before there was Celine Dion, and Britney etc there was Janis. Now granted you may not have wanted to take her home to meet your Mum (unless your Mum was Amy Winehouse of course) but Janis could belt out a song and could drink most men under the table. My kinda gal!

when i hear this song i think of a cousin i had who died....,especially"if i could ever hold your little hand" and "if i pray you might come back home" because he was only 2 when he died and it was a real life altering moment.i know this song is more about a relationship than a death but still....
i knew i started thinking about janis today for a reason... it was her birthday and i missed it... she came and went way before my time. she's so amazing, i love her music. its real, very real... RIP lovely!
God I miss her :( So real; was she her voice or her voice her? Not one bit of phoney here folks. Sang from her very being, as far inside oneself as one can go, so she could give all to others. Unfortunately, she sang herself to death for many people in her circle that did not care about anything other than $. Her fans of that day and of today will always appreciate this much misunderstood lady that was small in size but mighty in voice and who she was. Thank you to Janis and her family. ~!~
