I have an analogy for you. Let's say there's this bully at a school that HATES you. And no matter what you do he HATES you. So one day after he shoves you too far, you punch him right in the face. What does he do? He backs down because you show POWER. Then a bully-free week later (btw he still HATES you) you shake his hand and say "I am so sorry I hit you. Can you forgive me and can we be friends?" What is you going to do after he is done shaking your hand?
