Jsut watching the Reading Rainbow Intro before flipping the channel

I loved this show when I was a little kid! Good times! Reading Rainbow was a great show that inspired young kids to be great readers I loved all the stories that were shared on this show!

I loved this show as a kid. And even though they stopped making new episodes in the late 90s I believe, they were still airing reruns for kids. I'm 24 now but I saddened to hear to PBS announce that they were taking Reading Rainbow off the air for good this past summer.

This show insipired a generation of children to pick up a book and step outside of themselves and their everyday lives at school and home. I just hope another show comes along that's creates that same type of impact.

I owe this show for becoming a writer. I entered the story contest when I was six (I'm 21 now) and that was the first story I ever wrote. I didn't win, but that began my love of writing and discovering that it is my gift. Now, a play I have written is going to be produced in April, I have another play I'm working on, and a novel. Thank you, "Reading Rainbow", for all the wonderful stories you shared with me and the inspiration you gave me.

I actually remember this from my really early days. Especially the butterly at the beginning and the dragon too.

Whoa, talk about a blast from the past. So many memories from elementary school.

Everyone in class would sing along to this song... Oh wow.

I watched this show all the time, but I distinctly remember hating it because it was so boring.
Kind of like Art Attack, although that was better.
