What a classic!!! This was the first track on side 2 on the vinyl record one of favorites besides little children!! This was kool and the gang before JT came on board!!
When the "Open Sesame" album hit Kool & The Gang were still musicallyl focusing on our "Hearts and Minds." When they brought JT into the unit they were producing songs that only focused on shaking your behinds!!
Hello Bshahiyd! I feel you on that one....they did what some original Earth Wind and Fire members say they began to do which was 'chase hits and trends' by allowing forces foreign to their creative spirit join on and redirect their energy. Sad but it happens.
I remember their first record titled "Kool & The Gang an instrumental that was slamming, a few more were Heaven At Last, Who's Gonna Take The Weight, Light of Worlds, a lot of hits before J.T I believe they just tried a different direction, but all-in-all they still have the original sound.
