his strong point is his counterpoint thumbpick playing...which is a lot harder overall (for me) than playing fast single note flatpicking lines...(ala banjo ben)....so I'm not tryin to knock him...this is a great song...but I like others a lot more...the more chet atkins style stuff impresses me more...cuz I can do this type of stuff a lot easier...
If you would have done your research on Tommy Emmanuel before mentioning the Chet Atkins Style stuff, you would know that Tommy Emmanuel made a record with Atkins, and that Emmanuel is concidered the best in the world when it comes to playing the fingerstyle Chet Atkins way. You should check out "The Man with the Green Thumb" or Emmanuels version of "Windy and Warm"
If you'd done YOUR research, you'd realise that I was commending tommy on his fingerstyle playing..!!(I knew he recorded with chet) ..I do, however, retract my recent statement about his trouble with articulating single note lines after seeing "the hunt"...he's a monster at those too!!!...amazing... besides, I don't have to do my research....I'm outta school....
I think I found the one flaw in tommy's playing!!...(but he's still the greatest...and I sure as hell can't play close to what he does!!!.) BUT.....he seems to have trouble articulating fast single note flatpicking runs...but, overall, he's still untouchable..!!..good to see he's still human after all!!...

That's true - but make sure your sycophantic sick bag is ready for the intro from Michael Jonathon 1st :)
Tommy is, as ever, a fricking God - and it's not just about chord sequences, he's consistantly amazing. This man should humble as well as being an inspiration to most guitarists.
