never mind steam,it is all the railways that shut that is bad,steam was oudated years ago and would be expensive to run on the network if just steam

you are looking through rose tinted specs,electrics are much better,a kettle takes ages to start,not as clean,have to stop for water,use loads of coal,nead much manpower,so much to ,poor on inclines!

do not be silly,this is due to health and safety,transport runs well in Europe in bad weather
