I'm not saying fixies are bad, just the way people use them. I work in a bike shop and everyday I see guys coming in wanting to convert old road bikes to fixies without any knowledge about how much stress it puts on the body and practice it takes to ride a fixie safely and properly. It's a trend and a dangerous one at that. Also, wearing a helmet never hurts. It's better than brain surgery and inconsiderate riders who don't obey the law are always bad, fixie rider or not.

For me it wasnt hard to get on a fixe and learn....could be body types but i think i ride one properly and safely, but i do go threw stop signs if i seee no cars...its not like all of us ride like dumbasses
